For a "Clean-Tech scale-up" supported by professional investors, we’re looking for a General Manager - CEO who will ensure the business operates profitably and meets its goals. He/She will lead and execute a steady growth plan in Italy, with gradual expansion abroad.
The GM-CEO will support shareholders to maintain relationships with stakeholders, investors, and partners by combining the necessary autonomy intrinsic in the role with close relationships with both Executive Team and Stakeholders, in the light of building a journey of value.
He/She will assume ultimate responsibility for the company's financial and operational success, by guaranteeing strategic and economic goals, setting the company's overall vision, mission and strategic directions.
The GM - CEO will periodically interface with the board of directors to share the progress of the strategic and financial plans of the company. He/She will need to create and provide the board with a comprehensive monthly dashboard containing all the necessary KPIs to monitor the company's commercial, financial, and managerial performance.

Main Responsibilities

- Establish trust with the Executive team and stakeholders, serving as a strategic partner in crafting and implementing an aggressive sell-to and sell-through strategy aimed at business growth. This includes acquiring new customers, managing long-term accounts, and ensuring growth across all revenue streams. Additionally, he/she must manage upwards, lead a team, and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive the business forward
- Regularly present to the Board of Directors the definition of the 3/5-year strategic development plan in concert with the Board
- Conduct periodic reporting activities to the Board of Directors on development activities, resource acquisition plans, strategic marketing plans, reports on the progress and development of sales volumes, as well as forecast and actual budgets and utilization of financial resources both forecasted and actual
- Target the market and main market clusters, and new customer acquisition, long-term account management, ensuring growth in all revenue streams
- Expand the business across different sectors, adapting the business model to different verticals (Real Estate and Infrastructure, Industrial, Tourist and Hospitality structures, Hospitals & Clinics, Commercial buildings etc.)
- Design a value proposition for growth rooted on ESG as a trait d’union across markets and applications
- Manage sales actuals and pipeline to meet revenue targets and company goals, forecasting to ensure alignment
- Additionally, develop a consistent storytelling approach to engage both existing and new clients, leveraging personal experiences and networks to cultivate long-term relationships. Position the company distinctly in the market, establishing brand and product reputation while also enhancing new leads and brand awareness, targeting and supporting business opportunities by fostering a marketing culture and creating a lean sales team
- Push growth of existing accounts, as well as creating needs on new ones
- Generate customer satisfaction by managing key relationships and ensuring customers achieve value from the usage of products
- Manage relationships at all necessary levels, progressively creating an efficient commercial organization while managing, controlling, and reporting existing and new pipelines.


University degree, with over 10 years of experience in research and development and/or sales and/or marketing development and/or general management of energy efficiency, circular economy, green transactions, construction and real estate, chemicals, painting and coating or management of structures, measured against revenue goals, customer satisfaction, and organizational health metrics, a proven track record of strong customer expansion performance

- Ability to negotiate and close deals effectively with the ability to manage the post-sales relationships by him/herself and/or by a dedicated team to ensure full customer satisfaction
Proficient in written and spoken English and Italian
