Non Trade Procurement Buyer Business units Procurement and Logistics/Buyer Locations Italia/Lombardia/Milano For an important client in the Retail and Large-Scale Retail Distribution sector, a leading player in the national market with a vast network of stores, we are looking for a Non-Trade Procurement Buyer. The successful candidate will join the Indirect Purchasing function and report directly to the Non-Trade Procurement Director. This is a strategic and operational role, combining negotiation expertise with managerial responsibilities and process risk management, covering both the Non-Merchandise Procurement area and the Merchandise Entrustment/Agency area. The primary mission is the negotiation and purchase of the entire range of Non-Trade commodities (such as Equipment, Facility Management, General Expenses, In-Store Services, Marketing, and IT), with a particular focus on the Tendering/Contracting area (including Cleaning, Pest Control, Waste Management, Security, Night Loading, and Inventories). Key Responsibilities - Strategic Negotiation: Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, from systematic sourcing and Request For Quotations (RFQs) to contract drafting, aiming to achieve the budgeted Cost Killing objectives. - Contract Management: Be directly responsible for the contracting of key in-store services, including Quality and Occupational Health services. - Risk & Compliance: Ensure contracts adhere to rigorous essential clauses (Golden Rules) and oversee the correct application of the supplier governance process for onboarding and referencing. - Innovation & Digitalization: Drive Supplier Partnerships (e.g., Design-to-Cost initiatives), and propose and implement digital solutions and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize processes and reduce administrative workload. - Team Management and Internal Support: Coordinate a team of 4 Buyers and supervise communication between suppliers and internal business functions, providing support to internal clients. The Ideal Candidate Possesses the Following Skills and Experiences - Previous experience in a Commercial/Buying role. - Degree in a Technical, Economic, or Engineering field. - In-depth knowledge of the main Indirect Purchasing categories (e.g., Services, IT, Maintenance, Equipment). - Excellent proficiency in MS Office/G Suite and preferable knowledge of S2C (Source to Contract) Tools such as Ariba. - Fluent English. - Proven ability to coordinate resources and assume process risk management responsibilities.
