Our client, Scania Italia, is a global leader in providing transport solutions, including trucks and buses for heavy transport applications combined with an extensive product-related service offering.

For their Italian headquarters, we are searching for high-calibre candidates to take up the following challenging role: 

 

HR Director (MV - HR - 26)

The candidate we are looking for will lead the people strategy to enable business performance and sustainable growth. As a member of the management team, the role ensures that structure, culture, and capabilities support current and future business needs.

 

The main responsibilities will be:

  • Define and execute the HR strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Build a high-performing culture that feels authentically Italian while remaining deeply rooted in the company's global identity.
  • Drive workforce and succession planning to secure future competencies
  • Support and challenge leadership as a strategic HR partner
  • Ensure effective talent attraction, development, and retention
  • Lead organizational development and digital transformation
  • Ensure compliant and efficient HR operations (labor law, industrial relations, payroll, compensation & benefits)
  • Lead, coach, and develop the HR and Health & Safety teams
  • Promote a safe, high-performance, and values-driven culture
 

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Higher education in HR, Business, or equivalent experience
  • Senior HR leadership experience in a complex organization 
  • Expertise in managing labor relations and union dynamics
  • Strong business understanding (B2B/industrial environment preferred)
  • Fluent in English and Italian. 


Workplace: Trento, with required availability to travel within Italy and occasionally attend international meetings.
